The Exciting End to an Exciting Beginning

If you can call spending a lot of money to go to a reputable doctor and getting a ton of labs done and then hearing information that might be relieving or might be upsetting – exciting.

But the exciting part is… for my GoFundMe campaign, my friends and family stepped up and even beyond. The goal was $2500 and we are now at $2901. My first appointment is around $3000. My jaw is on the floor.

First, let me say I feel somewhat uncomfortable sharing how successful my campaign has gone because I know SO MANY chronic lymies who struggle with money and have not been able to get ANY treatment because of the cost. I know whole families who are infected and they can’t afford treatment. And here I come, toting my GoFundMe rally cry and large price tag. I admit to feeling a bit guilty. I want to share all of it with the thousands of people in the forums I visit.

But I know that’s not practical. The best thing I can do with those donations is use it toward the best, most well-researched treatments possible.

I’m incredibly humbled by the huge support I have received. What I loved even more than the campaign surpassing the goal is how many people wrote me to tell me that although they couldn’t afford to donate money, they were praying for me. THAT means so much to me. For me, prayers are nothing to sneeze at. Prayers move mountains and give miracles. This campaign is a result of prayer. And I don’t doubt that the end result of all this – whether I remain ill or I find healing of some kind – will be because of prayer and God doing all things for His good and glory.

Below you will find my stammering video update. This evening has been really pain-filled with burning/aching knees and a foggy, depressed head and cramped up hands and a new constant twitch beneath my right eye. BUT I rejoice over the campaign and I share it with you here:
